I got a rooster by accident and don't want it or can't keep it! Can you take it?
Unfortunately, we have a very hard time selling any roosters ourselves, so we cannot take any roosters from the general public. However, you are welcome to make a flyer and post it at the shop.

How do I introduce newly purchased pullets?
Click here for our guide on caring for your new pullets.

If I want to purchase pullets, how do I transport them?
You can use a dog crate, a cardboard box, or even a storage bin with proper ventilation.

What breeds do you carry?
Click here for our juveniles page, including current breed availability.

Do you sell chicks too?
Yes, we sell chicks from 3 days-3 weeks of age. You can click here for our chicks page.

Are your birds vaccinated?
Yes, they are vaccinated for Marek's Disease at hatch.

Are your birds sexed?
Our juveniles are guaranteed female. Our accuracy is 98%, and any mistakes are covered by us - if you get a rooster by accident, you can bring it back and exchange it for a female. However, you MUST have your original reciept on hand for the guarantee to be valid.
Our chicks are guaranteed with 90% accuracy as female. We do not exchange for roosters purchased as chicks unless you end up with more than 10% males.

Do you hatch your own birds?
We do occasionally hatch some chicks on-site; however, the majority of our stock is puchased from partnered NPIP-approved hatcheries.

Do you carry ducks, geese, gamebirds, etc.?
Unfortunately at this time we cannot carry waterfowl or gamebirds due to space restrictions in our growing barn. We do occasionally offer young meat turkeys for sale during select months in the spring and summer.

Do you carry bantams?
Unfortunately, we cannot carry any purebred bantams at this time, as they cannot be sexed at hatch and so we cannot sex or guarantee them. We do occaisionally have a few "Oddities" on hand, which are typically bantam mixed breeds which run wild and populate themselves around our growing barn. If a hen hatches a clutch, we will remove them when they are old enough and sell them. We don't formally advertise or list these, so if you are interested in any of them, give us a call to see if we have any at the moment or for more info about them.

Do you have (X) breed? Can you special order it?
Any breeds we currently have or will be getting in very soon will be listed on our juveniles and chicks pages. Breeds we may not currently have but frequently get can be found on our common breed descriptions page. Breeds we get a few times a year or less are listed our our uncommon breed pages and rare breed page. Unfortunately, we cannot special order any breeds for you.

Can I reserve birds beforehand if I won't be free the day they become available?
Yes, we allow reservations during the 3-4 weeks prior to the first day of availability. Please visit our Juveniles page and scroll down to the bottom for more information on reservations.
